Paul Tidmarsh

Paul has been working for eighteen years in marketing and innovation. He started at Unilever where he stayed for eight years, working on major innovation projects and brands such as Flora / Becel, Olivio / Bertolli and Bifi/ Peperami. The latter campaign won seven awards including two golden arrows at Cannes and the gold award in the Advertising Effectiveness Awards. Paul then set up a pub restaurant chain before joining brand consultancy & innovation agency New Solutions where he was a Director for five years. He has worked with a diverse range of clients globally including: Unilever (Lynx / Axe, Sure / Rexona, Pot Noodle, Knorr Europe, Clear, Lipton), Diageo (Gordon’s, Pimm’s, J&B, Tanqueray, Bell’s, Archers, Captain Morgan, Bushmills), Café Rouge, Thomson Holidays, MIT and Sara Lee. Paul is one of the founders of B7 and specialises in brand repositioning & innovation. Paul has created his own brand of biscuits which have just been listed by Virgin Atlantic.

     

Simon Neale

Simon has twenty years experience working in branding & design and has worked for some of the UK’s and America’s leading design and marketing agencies, including Coley Porter Bell, Fitch, Design Bridge and Williams Murray Hamm. He has worked across virtually all sectors, including designing: Dr Pepper, Hugo Boss’ skin care range, Pot Noodle new ranges, Shredded Wheat, Carling Black Label; as well as working on numerous innovation and brand projects with Unilever, Kimberly Clark, The Body Shop and Diageo.

     

Jo Hodges

Jo is an experienced copywriter and art director who has worked with several of the top London Agencies: DMB&B, GGK, Ogilvy and Mather, and Y&R. She has won many awards for her work including two silver awards for Campaign Posters, and a D&Ad award for press and bronze for a commercial in a New York advertising festival. As part of B7’s creative diversity programme, Jo currently lectures part time at the prestigious St Martin’s College of Art and Design and is a novelist. Her first novel The girl with brains in her feet was published by Virago in 2000. Jo’s second novel is in progress has also been optioned for the big screen. Jo has worked with the Adcept methodology for seven years.

     

Nicola Harward

Nicola startered her career at Unilever where she worked on some of the biggest brands including Persil and Domestos. Nicola then became marketing manager for Argentina. After five years, Nicola joined the Value Engineers where she helped numerous brands innovate including: Yoplait, Schweppes, Iglo, OXO, Carlsberg, SC Johnson, Dulux, KP/Croky, Hasbro. Nicola joined B7 as a director in 2006.

     

Richard Woods

Richard’s career spans 20 years working in marketing and market research. He specialises in brand positioning, innovation, communications strategy and future trends analysis.

Richard started his career at the Henley Centre where he became editor of the Henley Centre’s flagship syndicated research studies, ‘Planning for Social Change’ and ‘Media Futures’. Next he moved to British Telecom where he was a strategist.

Richard then became a director of New Solutions, an international brand and marketing consultancy. And then became director of The Future Foundation. He has worked with numerous brands across all sectors including Vodafone, BT, Procter and Gamble, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Diageo and Kellogg’s.

Richard is also photographer and has developed a consumer insight methodology based on photography to bring the consumers’ habits and interactions with the brand to life. Click here for more on this methodology.

Yann Jones, Creative

Yannakis is an experienced copywriter with twelve years experience who has worked in several top agencies: TBWA, Ogilvy & Mather, BDDH and St. Lukes working on countless brands including Wonderbra, (winner Campaign Posters) Ikea, Mercedes, Mr. Tom peanut bars in the US (Creative Circle, Bronze & D&AD Annual Award) and The Guardian (D&AD and Annual Ariel Radio awards). Yann also teaches part time at St. Martin’s, as well as directing pop promos and more recently TV commercials. Yann has worked with the Adcept methodology for six years.

     

Bernard McDonnell

Bernard was a director of NPD agency Innovate before joining Grey Advertising to set up their Future’s Division. Bernard has worked with many brands including Pizza Hut, Martini-Bacardi, Cow & Gate Nutricia, Rowntree, Nestle, Johnny Walker, Tropicana, Hugo Fragrances, Pedigree Foods, Granada, and Smithkline Beecham.  Bernard is now pursuing his true passion – creativity and whilst at B7 has focused on the creation of Adcepts.

     
Lucille Smithson, Contributing Creative

Lucille has a wide experience of the publishing, advertising, and marketing industries. Formerly an Art Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, Lucille has worked on numerous brands including: Head & Shoulders, Cereal Partners, Grolsch, Flora / Becel, Dove, Birds Eye, Walls/ Iglo, Bushmils, Sure, & Lynx/ Axe.
